People on the Isle of Man are being warned of the wider health implications of smoking.
A new shock TV advertising campaign is currently running to remind people of negative side effects including an increased risk of dementia and stroke.
Funded by Public Health England the campaign aims to scare people into giving up in the New Year by showing graphic images of polluted blood.
Around one in five people on the Island smoke - making up approximately 19 per cent of the population.
