Police are urging motorists to slow down on roads today as heavy rain and flooding hits areas of the Island this morning.
The constabulary says its had numerous calls about the conditions this morning including from the DOI which is trying to tackle flooding on the highways between Ballacraine and Union Mills.
Authorities say some drivers are not adhering to the conditions by driving too fast, possibly putting others in danger.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit and Peel Police have been asked to patrol the area and warn they'll take action against anyone whose driving could affect the safety of others.
