Six Island head teachers are in charge of two schools each - with one overseeing three primary schools.
Education Minister Daphne Caine revealed the figures during this week's House of Keys sitting.
She faced questions from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse about teachers in charge of running more than one school at a time.
