Police have confirmed six people were arrested and held in custody overnight.
According to officers, five of those were for drink-related offences.
Last night, the last Friday before Christmas, is also commonly known as 'Black Eye Friday' and is usually one of the busiest nights of the year for authorities.
The constabulary had already taken to social media in advance yesterday urging for people to be responsible by drinking sensibly, and looking after friends, work colleagues and family.
