Rates in Marown are set to rise by over nine per cent.
Commissioners in the parish have confirmed the rate will increase from £1.54 to £1.64 in the pound.
The authority says despite efforts to run a balanced budget with minimal impact to ratepayers the cost of waste disposal has gone up 'significantly'.
Officials add they've also chosen to invest in new and replacement public amenities in the area following the introduction of the Equality Act.
