Coastguards in Peel were called out yesterday afternoon after reports someone was shouting for help.
Shortly after 4pm, a member of the public reported hearing somebody calling for assistance on Peel Hill near Corrin's Folly.
Officers carried out a full search of the area, which took more than two hours.
However, nobody was found.
