Should the government extend payments for shared parental leave to the self-employed?
When Tynwald sits in December, Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper will ask members to back giving self-employed parents the same rights as others.
Shared parental leave payments are currently given to mums and dads who take time off after having or adopting a child.
Mr Hooper wants Treasury to consider payment rates and criteria for self-employed people to qualify.
