The Department of Economic Development has announced its shortlist for the Tourism Awards.
Performance of the visitor economy sector is being praised again this year; the department says it’s due to the targeting of niche markets and new innovations - like the Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling.
Laurence Skelly MHK tells us the awards recognise the contribution of tourism, leisure and hospitality businesses to the success of the visitor economy.
Mr Skelly says he’s confident in the Island of Culture programme of events next year:
DOI has no junction safety concerns over Iceland plans
LegCo to face questions in this morning's sitting
Passport prices to rise
House of Keys to sit for final time before election
Island cyclist to ride in Tour De France
Police appeal over promenade street brawl
Well-known farm in the west up for sale
Pet foodbank needs your help!
