A shoplifter from Liverpool has been fined £100 after stealing wine from the same shop twice in a night.
43 year old Christopher Mark Walsh of Oakfield Road in Anfield went to Ellan Vannin Fuels on Peel Road in Douglas on September 18.
He stole a bottle of wine and then went back for a second bottle three hours later.
Police later found him on Douglas promenade but the wine wasn't recovered, so he was ordered to pay £17.67 to Ellan Vannin Fuels, as well as £125 costs.
He must pay all amounts immediately or face up to 14 days in prison.
