A shop in Douglas has apologised to its customers after advertising hats for sale which were partly made from rabbit fur.
Curphey's had posted the images of the bobble hats on Facebook promoting them for sale when a backlash broke out.
Commentators took to the social media platform to express their concerns with one poster commenting that it was 'very sad to see a shop of high regard selling animal fur' - another said it was 'disgusting' saying rabbits are still harmed for their fur.
Curphey's has responded by saying it's taken everyone's comments on-board and after 'listening to both sides of the debate' will no longer stock the items.
The products have been taken off the shelf and sent back to the supplier - the shop says replacement hats of the same design, but made of faux fur, will be in stock shortly.
