Sheffield PC in court for causing death of Manx student by dangerous driving

41 year old PC Rodney Craig Mills will face the charge when he appears before Bradford Magistrates Court.

A South Yorkshire Police officer will appear in court today charged with causing the death of Manx student, Jamie Haslett, by dangerous driving.

41 year old PC Rodney Craig Mills will face the charge when he appears before Bradford Magistrates Court.

Jamie Haslett died after being involved in a road traffic incident with a Police car in Sheffield as it responded to a request from the ambulance service.

It happened on the 27th October last year.

Former St Ninian's student Jamie was in his second year studying Sport and Business Management at Sheffield’s Hallam University.
