Most Flights Cancelled
There are major disruptions in and out of Ronaldsway this morning.
It's due to volcanic ash, which can damage aircraft engines, is drifting into UK airspace from Iceland.
It's spreading southwards across the UK so most arrivals and departures from the Isle of Man are cancelled. Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow airports are closed. Manchester Airport is closed until 1PM.
Hundreds of people were evacuated in Iceland yesterday after the second
eruption in less than a month.
Airport director Ann Reynolds said the airport isn't completley closed as some Manx2 flights are going ahead. (audio above)
The advice from Ronaldsway is to call the airline before you travel, but we will of cause keep you right up to date throughout the morning here on 3FM.
