It's been revealed that seven vehicles, including a Department of Transport wagon were involved in incidents on the Mountain Road yesterday prior to it being closed off.
A Gritting wagon was working on the Mountain Road after snow started to fall yesterday afternoon.
While that was travelling between Brandywell and the 32nd milestone it was involved in a minor collision with a car.
There was two subsequent crashes straight after that when cars had slowed down at the scene, but due to the weather 3 of them collided.
One person suffered minor injuries.
Within five minutes of the emergency service being called out to deal with multiple vehicles collision, two cars came off the road on a different area of the mountain road.
They were separate incidents in the Guthries area on the Ramsey side of the road, it's believed that nobody suffered any injuries.
Police are sending out a reminder to drive in a manner suitable to the road conditions.
The mountain road was closed off untill 11:00hrs for those vehicles to be removed, as DOT couldn't get up there yesterday, but it's now re-opened to traffic.
