Motorists are being reminded a section of the Mountain Road will close for several hours later today.
The highway between the Bungalow and Lheaney Road in Ramsey will be cordoned off between 10am and 3pm.
The DOI says the closure has been granted for Isle of Man Transport to carry out cable repairs on the Snaefell Mountain Railway.
It adds the stretch will re-open as soon as work is completed and that access to Barrule Park will still be available during that time.
