Forecasters have issued a second weather warning for this evening.
Ronaldsway Met Office have released an amber weather warning for coastal overtopping and harbour flooding between midnight and 4.30am on Friday morning.
The areas most at risk are promenades in Douglas, Castletown, Laxey and Ramsey as well as Shore Road in Rushen.
Flood defences will be deployed around Castletown harbour.
The possibility of inner harbour flooding means West Quay, Market Place, East Street, Christian Street, West Street and Derby Road in Ramsey will all close between 11pm tonight and reopen at 5am tomorrow morning.
Queens Promenade in Ramsey, meanwhile, will shut from 1am to 5am on Friday between Dale Street and Queens Drive East.
