Scientists from the Island's Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture will monitor bathing water quality across local beaches this winter.
This includes seven of the Island's beaches:
- Castletown - Designated
- Douglas Central - Designated
- Glen Wyllin
- Port Erin - Designated
- Port St Mary (Chapel Beach) - Designated
- South Ramsey - Designated
DEFA says the chosen spots include five bathing waters which are already designated for weekly summer monitoring and two under consideration.
