A school in the west of the Island will hold a lockdown drill next week.
Queen Elizabeth II High School in Peel has written to parents saying it'll carry out the drill next Thursday, January 15.
The drills simulate procedures followed if an intruder is inside the grounds, there's an emergency outside or there's been a hazardous chemical spill.
In the letter, head teacher Charlotte Clarke says assemblies have been held to reassure students and asks parents to talk to their children.
