Suspensions of children in island schools are down by almost a third.
Between September 2024 and March this year, there were nearly one thousand cases of pupils being sent home - an average of around five a day.
Department of Education, Sport and Culture member Sarah Maltby said this is a decrease compared to the same period in 2023 to 24, which saw almost 1,400 suspensions.
