Primary school meals cost government an average of around four pounds per child each day over the past three months.
The figure was released by the Department of Education, Sport and Culture in response to a Freedom of Information request.
It also said the overall cost of meals during the latest school term was £608,881.
That's from a total number of 150,289 meals ordered.
