School children in Onchan have been reported after claims they were caught swinging a cat by its tail.
Update: The Department of Education and Children says the students involved in the alleged incident were identified and spoken to – they claimed they were ‘petting’ the cat but accepted their actions were ‘misconstrued’.
It says Bemahague School is ‘disappointed’ by some of the comments generated on Facebook as the school ‘always instils into students the need to be respectful of their environment’.
