Scam caller targeting pub landlords

Police say they've received a number of calls from people this week who are concerned. 

 

A male voice, using a number of different aliases, calls from a withheld number trying to sell advertising space. 

 

He claims he's from "the police" or from the "Isle of Man Police Federation" and says he needs money for sponsorship for a new drink drive leaflet. 

 

Police are reminding people not to give out any personal information or bank details out over the telephone.
