The Salvation Army has launched its annual appeal to make sure no child goes without this Christmas.
The charity is encouraging locals to add an extra toy to their shopping list this year as part of its 'Christmas Present Appeal'.
People can find toy drop off locations at Isle of Man Bank Branches, Shoprite stores and Toy store 'The Entertainer' up until the end of this month.
Last year, 394 children were supported by the appeal and almost 1,000 people received food vouchers or parcels to ensure they could eat over the festive period.
Captain Rachael Nieuwoudt, leader of The Salvation Army in Douglas explained why Christmas can be a particularly difficult time:
Ramsey Remembrance service to be marked by maroon rockets
MEDS phone line to be down temporarily
Committee to examine link between poverty and poor academic performance
Police advice for trick-or-treaters to stay safe
