The Salvation Army says well over 1,800 people needed help over Christmas as they struggled with living costs.
The organisation, based on the Isle of Man Business Park, says it received 1,842 referrals over the festive period.
Its annual Christmas Present Appeal gave gifts, food and vouchers to those struggling to put food on the table, heat homes or pay bills.
Church leader Captain Rachael Nieuwoudt says the charity is seeing a rise in the number of people who need help - saying many are living hand to mouth and paycheck to paycheck.
