Passengers will be facing a day of disruptions as this morning’s sailing to Liverpool and Heysham have both been cancelled.
The Steam Packet Company has announced the 7.30am crossing to Liverpool and 8.45am crossing to Heysham won’t go ahead.
Consequently, their return services back from Liverpool at 11.15am and Heysham at 2.15pm are also cancelled.
The Manannan has been called off because of a ‘rapid deterioration’ in the weather – with strong winds and thunderstorms predicated later.
Whereas the Ben-my-Chree is currently suffering from a ‘technical problem’ – with engineers currently working on fixing the vessel.
However, Manannan crossings due at 3pm and 7.15pm are expected to go ahead.
