The Island's Office of Fair Trading has issued a recall on two products over possible safety issues.
OFT says the iconBIT Mekotron 6 Hoverboard - available from Curry's - has a possible defect in its power supply unit which could damage mains sockets and in turn cause fires.
Meanwhile, a notice has also been given over the Jack Wills Mug and Sock giftset - sold in Boots - with the base of the mug prone to cracking and separating when exposed to hot water.
Anyone with these items is being asked to return them to Curry's and Boots respectively - anyone who does so will be offered a full refund.
