Port St Mary Commissioners says it will be supporting Rushen Silver Band with its fundraising endeavours over the festive period.
It’s asked for permission from the local authority to go door to door, from the 1 December, in the village to raise money.
The band says it needs £7,000 to be able to keep going for another 12 months.
The festive period gives them the opportunity to play for the community and do their much needed fundraising.
