Manx telecom says a leaky roof could mean the business can cut its carbon footprint - if planners okay a new roof at its headquarters in Braddan.
The company has applied for permission to put solar panels on the roof of its offices in the Isle of Man Business Park on Cooil Road.
In its application, MT says its concrete roof is letting water in and will need to be replaced.
But if given permission to install solar panels, it says it can cut its energy requirements by up to five per cent each eyar.
