Major work to Ronaldsway airport is underway this week.
On the airport's Facebook page, it's confirmed work has begun to improve its security area.
Earlier this year, the Department of Infrastructure announced £300,000 will be spent to cut security waiting times.
The plans include installing automatic boarding card readers, monitoring equipment and a second scanner at peak times.
