A new-look landlord register will make housing issues - like evicting tenants - easier to deal with, according to the Department of Social Care.
The results of a public consultation which looked at introducing a Landlord and Tenant Bill have been released with many showing support for it.
The register would ensure that private sector landlords, and their properties, must adhere to required rental accommodation standards.
Minister Chris Robertshaw says overall the bill only stands to affect a very small number of landlords operating on Island:
MEDS phone line to be down temporarily
Committee to examine link between poverty and poor academic performance
Police advice for trick-or-treaters to stay safe
