The Mountain Road will be closed next week while a major roadwork scheme is started.
Work will begin on Monday with the resurfacing of the Ramsey Hairpin - road markings, ‘cats eyes’ and reflective verge markers will also be checked and replaced where necessary.
It's the first phase of work with the route due to be closed until Thursday.
More work will be carried out from Monday, September 16th, over a further three weeks, and will also include the resurfacing of the Creg-ny-Baa corner.
