A new road surface will be added to a recently refurbished highway in Douglas later this week
The Department of Infrastructure will be laying down a high-friction surface to the junction of Alexander Drive and Primose Avenue with the work currently expected to take place aross Saturday and Sunday (July 10-11).
A stop-and-go traffic management system will be in place whilst the work is carried out, with DOI officials saying they will attempt to keep traffic disruption to a minimum and are apologising in advance for any possible inconvenience.
They add the initiative is subject to weather conditions and so may have to be done on a later date if the conditions aren't good enough.
