Road closures planned for tin baths this weekend

One of the highlights of Castletown's summer calendar takes place this Saturday, with a number of road closures planned for the event.

The World Tin Bath Championships will be held in the town's Middle Harbour on Saturday, July 4, and the Department of Infrastructure is reminding visitors to check traffic restrictions before travelling.

Roads around the harbour, including Bridge Street, Victoria Road, The Quay and Castle Street, will be closed between 12.30pm and 6.30pm.

A full list of the road closures is as follows: 

Roads closed between 12.30pm and 6.30pm:
Bridge Street from between the harbour footbridge and Victoria Road
Castletown Harbour from Victoria Road to Bank Street
The Quay from Castletown Harbour to Castle Street
Castle Street between The Quay and The Parade
