Ramsey Lifeboat was launched earlier this week following reports from a concerned member of the public.
Two people in the sea who appeared to be in difficulty were spotted near the Queens pier on Tuesday.
The volunteer lifeboat crew made contact with the casualties, who had been snorkelling, and found they were safe and well.
The lifeboat returned to the beach and waiting shore crew where it was recovered, washed down, rehoused and made ready for service.
Kevin Christian, Lifeboat Operation Manager, Ramsey RNLI said: 'The member of the public did the correct thing by calling 999 and asking for the Coastguard.
