An island MHK has spoken out about the "outrageous" rising costs of the island's new ferry terminal in Liverpool.
MHK for Arbory, Castletown and Malew, Jason Moorhouse said, while he supports the island having access to Liverpool, the cost is now "too high".
It follows the announcement that the price tag for the government-funded project at Princes Half Tide Dock has almost doubled since planning was granted in 2019.
It had been set to cost £38m but will now cost more than £70.6m.
isle of Man politicians will be asked to approve an additional spend £32.6m at the December sitting of Tynwald.
Mr Moorhouse described the developments as "incredible", adding "should I really be considering voting against such a key investment?.
"It would be interesting to know the current value of this asset".
Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall also thinks the rising costs are "deeply concerning" but says making a decision on the future of the project should be the government's immediate focus.
