The Isle of Man Government has outlined its migration strategy, aiming to create 5,000 new jobs by 2032.
Cabinet Minister David Ashford made his statement during this morning's presentations at the Isle of Man Government Conference.
Mr Ashford says the 'Right People, Right Skills' approach will help address an ageing population and labour shortages.
He stressed local workers will be prioritised, but off-Island recruitment through permits and visas will be welcomed where necessary, while maintaining security.
