The Department of Education, Sport and Culture has applied to remove part of a sod bank outside a school - almost two years after the work was carried out.
It's applied for retrospective planning permission to remove the bank at Dhoon School in Glen Mona and replace it with a new one.
In its application, the department says the bank was removed in August 2022 after water build-up meant government engineers declared it structurally unsound.
The department says drainage issues have now been resolved and it wants to build a new sod bank in the same place.
