Almost half of government workers who've retired at 55 end up back on the books for work, according to new figures.
In the House of Keys this week, Onchan MHK Julie Edge asked Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas how many people on public sector pensions returned to work for departments or statutory boards.
Mr Thomas said in the last five years, 17 people had retired at 55 and gone back to work - mostly at Health and Social Care or Education and Children.
However, he said another 50 had registered for bank and supply posts, overwhelmingly in the same department.
