The proportion of students passing their GCSE's has fallen by two per cent since last year.
The government's revealed the figures as youngsters across the Isle of Man collect their results today.
The overall pass rate saw 96 per cent get A* to G grades, compared to 98 per cent last year.
73 per cent got between A* and C, while one in five students achieved an A or better.
