Police are asking people to avoid non-essential travel, following reports of two older people being blown over in high winds.
Storm Barra continues to batter the Island - resulting in road closures, fallen trees and travel disruption.
Ronaldsway Met Office had warned gusts could reach up to 70mph - with both a yellow and amber weather warning in place until 3am tomorrow morning.
Now, officers are urging the public to only travel if necessary - and to ask OAPs in particular, to stay safe.
We would advise that the public avoid non essential travel. We have also had two reports of older people being blown over in the winds - please ask OAPs to stay safe.
