Report says planning delays could scupper developments

Delays in the Island's planning system could make many developments stall or face collapse, according to a new report.

An interim report from consultants about the impact of rising costs on brownfield regeneration has been published by the Treasury.

In it, experts from AtkinsRéalis say the Island's planning process is under-resourced and straining to cope.

And that means delayed projects are seeing their viability questioned as costs continue to rise while they await a decision.
