If you witness dog fouling, don't be afraid to report it.
That's the message from Ramsey Commissioners, who say dog owners who don’t pick up after their pet are breaking the law.
The board says some dog owners think they can get away with not picking up their dog's mess if an enforcement officer isn't around.
However, it adds as more people come forward to report offences, irresponsible owners may start to think twice about not picking up their dog's mess.
If you witness an incident of dog fouling and are prepared to provide a witness statement, you're asked to contact the Technical Department on 810100.
If witnessed, offenders face a fixed penalty fine of £50 or a maximum penalty on conviction of £1,000.
