An independent report on how the Department of Health and Social Care managed family and children cases will be presented to Tynwald in October.
The investigation by Paul Burnett and Bridget Griffin has taken 16 months to complete and the government's response to the final report will also be released at the October sitting.
It was instigated by then-Onchan MHK Peter Karran who'd been approached by families complaining about the way the DHSC had treated them.
The final report will by different from a draft released in June - the government says sharing that draft could have caused confusion and misunderstanding because changes needed to be made.
