Garff Commissioners are asking residents to report any incidents of fly-tipping if they see it happening.
The authority says it hasn't had any reports of it so far, but wants people to be vigiliant and if they spot any suspicious activity to make a note of it and not try and challenge others directly.
Meanwhile, officials say contingencies are being put in place for if the amount of green waste in the area rises and measures may be put into place within two weeks to address the matter.
Kinrades - which runs refuse collections in the borough - is also thanking locals for sticking to rules around not leaving 'side waste' and keeping lids on bins closed to help protect workers disposing of waste.
