Islanders are being reminded to take care when using sparklers as part of Bonfire Night celebrations this evening.
The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service says although sparklers may look harmless, they can reach temperatures high enough to cause serious injuries.
It's advising people to supervise children using sparklers, wear gloves and hold them at arm's length, away from their face, body and others.
The service also recommends keeping a bucket of water or sand nearby to dispose of used sparklers.
