A Douglas man who’s accused of robbing Newby’s Newsagent last year has been remanded at the Isle of Man Prison.
25-year-old Jamie Hall appeared at Douglas Courthouse today – last night police charged him with the robbery of the Glen Falcon Road shop.
It’s alleged he threatened the lone female shop assistant on the evening of November 3rd before lighting and throwing a firecracker in her direction and fleeing with £1,000 in cash.
Hall has also been charged with a burglary at the Billown Quarry in 2013 after new forensic evidence linked him to the case.
No pleas were entered to either charge – an application for bail was refused and Hall will next appear in court on February 4th.
