The Island's telecoms regulator says it hasn't taken any action over the new paid-for manx.net email system - because it doesn't oversee it.
A Freedom of Information request asked how many complaints the Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority had in the run-up to the switchover.
In response, CURA said 19 people had complained, but it doesn't regulate email services and so the organisation couldn't intervene in what it said was a commercial decision made by Manx Telecom.
The email service swapped from Manx Telecom to specialist company Junara earlier this month.
