Easyjet does aim to process refund claims in 28 days, however due to the Coronavirus pandemic this could take longer.
That's according to Andy Cockburn, who deals with media enquiries for the airline.
A statement reads:
"We do aim to process claims in 28 days, however because of the increased volumes due to the pandemic, it means that unfortunately this could take longer. We would thank customers for their patience and assure them that these entitlements will be available long after their cancelled flight has flown."
It states customers whose flights are cancelled will be notified and informed of their options, which include transferring to an alternative flight free of charge, receiving a voucher or applying for a refund via a webform on a dedicated Covid Help Hub at easyJet.com.
The airline has been cancelling around 2,000 flights every single day - in April last year Easyjet made 51 cancellations, whereas this April saw a colossal 45,000 cancellations.
It comes following the announcement Easyjet won't be resuming flights to and from the Island this month.
It's hoped a start date will be confirmed soon - the Island's borders remain closed at this time.
