Reciprocal Health Agreement To Be Discussed Again in Tomorrow\'s Tynwald
The issue of the Reciprocal Health Agreement is set to rear its head again in Tynwald tomorrow.
MHK for Michael David Cannan has been opposed to the decision from the offset and has voiced his concerns publicly.
With this in mind he will be asking the Chief Minister if the Council of Ministers had been in contact with Jersey’s Minister for Health Ann Pryke, who has vowed to fight the UK in their decision to end the agreement after the UK General election.
The Michael MHK wants to know if the Island would form a united campaign with Jersey in an effort to rescue the deal.
As it stands from April, Island residents will now have to source Travel Insurance every time they make a trip to the UK.
UK Health Minister Andy Burnham spoke to Granada Reports about the decision to end the agreement.
