A Ramsey commissioner says he hopes the local authority can publish plans for a long-term social housing strategy before the end of the year.
During this week's board meeting, Juan McGuinness put forward a motion to develop a 5, 10 and 25 plan for the town - and it was passed unanimously.
He says the new proposals will mean certainty for tenants, clear targets for the board, and fewer excuses.
And he adds he hopes the new strategy can be put before the public before the end of this year.
