Manx Care says its data shows a doctors' surgery in Ramsey was the top prescriber of medicines last year.
A Freedom of Information request asked the organisation about details of issued and dispensed prescriptions over the last 12 months.
In its response, Manx Care said Ramsey Group Practice wrote the most, with 141,147, while Snaefell Surgery in Douglas had the lowest figure at just 3,274.
It added Boots pharmacies had fulfilled 85,298 over the last 12 months, making it the Island's top dispenser.
